Our impact

At Mind Matters, our advocacy project is dedicated to transforming how teens, college students, and adults approach mental health. Our core mission is to help individuals feel more understood, supported, and less isolated in their experiences. We achieve this by sharing relatable content, real-life stories, and carefully curated resources that empower people to open up about their struggles rather than suffering in silence.

"After engaging with this project, I felt more understood and realized I was not alone in what I was experiencing. It made me feel more comfortable opening up."

"I often feel overwhelmed or stressed, but usually keep it to myself. This project showed me I'm not the only one, and it's okay to talk about it."

Measuring our difference: When we know we are succeeding

We know Mind Matters is making a difference when individuals engage with our content and feel comfortable discussing mental health. This is evident through feedback, conversations, and responses where people express feeling understood, supported, or less alone after visiting our site. Our goals are met when users utilize the resources we provide, openly discuss their mental health, or become more aware of the importance of seeking help. Even small shifts, like someone feeling encouraged to speak up or learn more, signify a positive impact, building a more informed, supportive, and accepting environment for mental well-being.
